Here's what happened recently in northern California. It's a slow news day - Hey! I got an idea... Monday, 10 Oct 2k5 - Another small plane has to land on a SoCal freeway. Just north of L.A. (i know how they feel!) It was towed off the Fwy by the time we got airborne. (from KNBC - TV4) Gettin' to where even a RAT can fly a plane... Now THIS is bizarre...and NOT just science-fiction anymore. Kinda scary...like the movies 'The Terminal Man' meets 'Ben'. ( wait till the airlines hear about THIS! ) Mark of the Beast: Part I This is how it starts, innocently enough... Life imitating art...again Ever see the 1993 movie 'Passenger 57'? It starred Wesley Snipes as a newly-hired head of security for an airline. He quickly has to prove his meddle when the jetliner he's on is hijacked by a megalomaniac terrorist - superbly played by accomplished actor Bruce Payne. Seems Mr. Payne had a bit of a real-life scuffle on a recent flight. Can you see me NOW? Is that a 5-Megapixel cameraphone in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? (since this article was published, Samsung has surpassed Motorola, and is now the 2d largest moblie phone manufacturer, worldwide). Traffic Cone Preservation Society Perhaps one of the oddest sites i've ever seen. They really make a statement, though. Who knew people would take time out of their lives to care about traffic cones? "Guerrilla Public Service" This guy rocks!  He's an artist that took it upon himself to fabricate and erect a highway sign in downtown Los Angeles to help direct people to the proper lane, in order to make it to the I-5 Fwy.  Check out his video! Y'all hold my beer and watch this... This guy spends so much time in front of his computer, he figured he should sit in the most comfortable chair he could find.
