Wondering what to do with that money 'Prezzy B' says is coming (y)our way?

You can help keep this guy in business, help the economy going AND piss-off the sand-people even more with our nefarious ways of the west.

After all this time - we've been doing it wrong?
My wonderful Filipina wife said the other day "You wok wrong, honey".
After hesitating a moment before throwing out a perfectly good batch of stir-fry, i realized she was talking about my feet!

Now i mention this article to her every time she even LOOKS at shoes in the mall windows.
One sign you're getting older...
Just after getting airborne this morning, i heard an ad on KFWB 980 (http://www.kfwb.com/), that said they were giving away concert tickets - to see RUSH !!!

Saw a bumper sticker on a car in our neighborhood that said it all: "I Park Like an Idiot.com".
Naturally, i had to check out the website.
Since i live in southern Californa, i'm sure i'll go through my first stack of stickers soon.

The selling-off of Americas roadways...
More and more foreign companies are buying and leasing roads built at taxpayers expense.
As taxpaying Americans, we should NOT let this happen.
This Plane Old house...
Here's a different angle: take an old airplane and make it into a house.
end of an era...
If you're not from California, chances are you've at least seen the UNION 76 logo in the shape of a round ball sometime in your life. This company has now been taken over by Conoco-Phillips. They are said to be changing the logo - which has some people so upset, they've started an online petition to help resist it.
Got eyesight?
Remember as a kid you always wanted a pair of those "x-ray vision" glasses advertised in the back of comicbooks?

Check this out.

The potential to kill off an entire industry

Even though we all enjoy the benefits of the technology of miniaturization, most of our gadgets still run on battery technology that was invented in 1800 by a guy named Volta.

That is about to change.  Read on...

Best burger around
If you're NOT from SoCal, you MUST try certain things:
Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal City all are usual favorites.
However, you should ALSO search out and try a famous TOMMY BURGER. The ORIGINAL is at Beverly and Rampart in downtown L.A.
Am i sexy now, bay-bee?
Can you believe a survey of 5,000 people ties 'reporter' with 'interior designer' as the 4th-sexiest job???

Although i'm not a fan of (or any good at) golf, this was just irresistible to ignore.
Next time, bring beer...
Odd article of a dogs' journey (from Scotland).
Signs of Life
People don't believe me when i tell them Oregon is Boring.
Stumbled across this site a couple years ago. If you're bored too, check it out. Packed with plenty of interesting signs.
"the Art of mocking public works"
Another cool site that encourages others to submit photos of odd and funny signs that may have more than one meaning.

This one obviously means
'Eye in the Sky'.

...but there's more!
Yet ANOTHER website that deals primarily with the humour of signs. (good to see i'm not the only one with an odd sense of humour).
Austrians ask "What's so f-ing funny?!"
In Ahhnolds' homeland of Austria, British tourists are stealing the city-limit signs from a small town.

Translation of lower sign:
PLEASE - Not so fast!

THIS guy put the rumour to the test.

Hittin' the BIG 3-Oh!
Remember the band Boston and that great first album released in 1976?
Remember that lead guitar player Tom Schloz worked at Polaroid during the day?
About a year EARLIER, across the street at Kodak (in N.Y., really), another guy - Steven Sasson - was busy working on an odd-looking, toaster-sized thing that became the worlds' first...digital camera.

In December 2005, his little baby just turned 30.

My first laptop was an Etch-a-Sketch
For those artistic types with too much time on their hands, the classic "Etch-a-Sketch" is coming to cellphones (your results may vary).

Another odd story. This one from a San Diego suburb.

Operator! What's the number for 9-1-1 ?!
That saying by Homer is now more appropriate as new numbers begin going online for different services.

Another odd one: Polish guy takes off on his bike for a ride - disappears - and is finally found in Heathrow airport in London, England ( an island - for those who were absent in Geography that day ).
George Clooney - allegedly - has one...
Thin car designed for commuting in heavy traffic. Jenny Craig should hand these out to overachievers.

A bit hard to believe, but looks like the French have come up with what might be a decent idea.
We should make our hot-air politicians drive these!

The idea is to COVER traffic and news...not be the story.
Here's what happened recently in northern California.

It's a slow news day - Hey! I got an idea...
Monday, 10 Oct 2k5 -
Another small plane has to land on a SoCal freeway. Just north of L.A. (i know how they feel!) It was towed off the Fwy by the time we got airborne.

Gettin' to where even a RAT can fly a plane...

Mark of the Beast: Part I
This is how it starts, innocently enough...
Life imitating art...again
Ever see the 1993 movie 'Passenger 57'? It starred Wesley Snipes as a newly-hired head of security for an airline. He quickly has to prove his meddle when the jetliner he's on is hijacked by a megalomaniac terrorist - superbly played by accomplished actor Bruce Payne.
Seems Mr. Payne had a bit of a real-life scuffle on a recent flight.
